Recharge new foils

There have been rumours for some time that Recharge has expanded our range of products. We hinted this to you in one of the newsletters in March, but now is the time to officially explain everything new into the details. We focused on the foil and significantly increased the range of different components for the foil. We have been testing the new components on various spots for some time now. We have all the photos ready, all the products are already visible on our webpage and they are coming on stock in May.

                                                        

1. Windsurf

The Recharge Free Fly 95 foil has been on the market for over two years. We received a lot of positive reviews during this time, but we were somewhat limited by only one dimension of the elements (front and rear wing, mast length and fuselage). The reason for only one dimension of each of these elements was that we wanted to offer the market the most universal foil that will satisfy the appetites of most - both beginners, advanced surfers, those who want to fly in low wing conditions and those who want to fly in to stronger winds and waves.

Front wing

Front wing has been until now produced only in size of 850 cm2. Now it has larger and smaller versions. The 780 cm2 wing is intended for speed and slalom windsurf foiling, the 990 cm2 wing for upwind and downwind surfing and 1350 cm2 wing for freeride. While the larger two wings (990 cm2 and 1350 cm2) are intended for winds above 7 knots (with a sail of 8 m2 at a surfer weight of 90 kg with pumping knowledge), the smaller two front wings (780 cm2 and 850 cm2) are intended for winds from 12 knots onwards.

                                                     
 

Rear wing

The rear wing of 280 cm2 has now also got a smaller brother. The 230 cm2 wing is used in conjunction with the smaller front wings (780 cm2 and 850 cm2) in slightly stronger winds (from 12 knots onwards), especially for speed and slalom users.

Mast

The 95 cm long mast was also made in a shorter version. The 85 cm long mast is more suitable for beginners, as you are closer to the water during the flight. Because the maximum height of the board above the water is lower, foil lift from the water is not as fast, and the foil is more stabile. On the other hand, with more advanced foiling skills and windsurf foiling in more demanding conditions (e.g. bigger waves), a 95 cm mast is more suitable, as the water has less impact on the board itself and posture above the water.
 

Fuselage

The range of applicability has also been expanded for fuselages. The now well-known 100 cm long fuselage has also been given a larger version. We developed the 115 cm long fuselage that offers to rider a greater stability of the foil and calmer flying. Compared to 100, the Fuselage 115 gives you greater stability both in the process of lift from the water and during the flight itself. The longer fuselage is less agile compared to the shorter one, it is slightly slower in responding to changes in height and has a longer turning radius.

 
All presented components (all front and rear wings, both masts and fuselages) are compatible with each other. This means that beginners can use a shorter mast, longer fuselage and larger wings. With the improvement of foiling knowledge, you can buy an even longer mast, shorter fuselage and smaller wings - or just one of the mentioned components. All this allows you to better adapt to your level of knowledge and water conditions. Of course, this also means that one foil kit with additional components can now satisfy several users with different levels of knowledge, as each find for himself those components that are most suitable for the current wind situation and level of knowledge.

 
                                                     
 

2. Wing

Wing foils are something completely new for Recharge. Like most, wing impressed us when we first tried it some time ago! We believe that this sport can bring an additional dimension of water joy to all wind lovers. While we have been offering winging products (wing, board, foil) at Recharge in our store for several years now, we have also developed our own wing foil components, where we follow the same philosophy as at windsurf foils. User-friendly foil, use and made of quality materials that will help you upgrade the level of enjoyment on and above the water.

                                                   
 

Front wing

We developed three front wings. The biggest one, in the size of 2100 cm2, is suitable for beginners and conditions with low winds. The 1750 cm2 front wing is designed for advanced users and more demanding wind conditions. We also offer a wing of 1350 cm2 size, which is intended for the most demanding users who wing and fly in stronger winds.

 

Rear wing

We offer it in two different sizes - 280 cm2 and 230 cm2. The size 280 cm2 is suitable in combination with the front wing 2100 cm2, while the size of 230 cm2 is suitable in combination with the front wing 1750 cm2 or 1350 cm2.

 

Mast

Masts for wing foil are basically shorter than the ones for windsurf foil. After numerous wing tests, we developed a 78 cm long mast made for a double US board mounting system (two parallel slots on the board) with four screws. Again, we were trying to find and offer to you the best option to be applicable for the widest range of users.

 

Fuselage

The 77 cm fuselage provides the best ratio between the stability of the flight itself, steady lift from the water and agility in slow downwind turns, riding on a wave and fast changes of direction and jumping.

Adapter "deep tuttle box" to "US box"

Because we want to combine our desires with different levels of knowledge and equipment, it sometimes happens that some components are not compatible with each other. In the case of foils, this most often occurs between the system for attaching the foil to the board (upper part of the mast) and the fastening system on the board itself. If your foil has a "deep tuttle box" system for attaching to the board, and the board has a double US box, both will not be compatible with each other without replacing the foil or board or buying an adapter. At Recharge, we have developed and offer you an adapter that can be easily installed on a foil mast with a deep tuttle box. Both together you attach it on the board with a double US box mounting system.
